Delivery

When will I get my order?  

Our estimated delivery times vary depending on the destination country: for orders in EU, delivery takes usually 1-3 business days. Outside Europe, we strive for delivery between 3-7 business days. When you have finished order, you will receive an order confirmation and when we have packed your order, you will get a tracking code/link where you can check the journey of your great items. If you see that the delivery of your order take much longer than estimated, please contact our customer service service@ducksday.com

Do I pay shipping costs?  

We apply free shipping for orders over €50 to an address in Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg. For some other countries in EU we offer a free delivery for the orders above another specified sum.Other shipping feesdepend on the country where the order will be delivered which you can find over here: https://www.ducksday.com/policies/shipping-policy

Do I have to pay custom duties on my order? 

You are solely responsible for payment of all duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees.These additional fees are not included in the cost of shipping, and we are not able to provide estimates of what this amount may be for a specific order or item.Customs, duties, and taxes can vary widely, so please check with your local customs agency for more details before you place an order.

What if I haven't received all items I ordered?  

All of our orders are hand-picked in our warehouse, so it could be that a rare mistake happen. We are very sorry if there is something wrong with your order. Please contact us as soon as possible after receiving your order via the chat on our website or via e-mail: service@ducksday.com

How will my order be packed? 

Depending on the amount of items you have ordered, we ship in a paper envelop or a cardboard box. We will always use the smallest package as possible for you. Please reuse the box or make it a new house for your cat. 

Returns

What if I want to return my order?  

What a shame! You can return your order to us within 14 days after delivery. Please make sure you return the goods in their original condition and packaging, with all accessories, labels and instructions supplied with them. Note that we will only accept and refund your return if the concerned items are unused and returned in good condition, together with all accessories supplied. All returned goods are carefully examined as we sell them on to make someone else happy. Returned goods may be tried on but may not have been used.

Do I pay for returns?  

We want to avoid unnecessary transport and protect the environment, we do not offer free returns. You can return your order to us in 2 ways:  

  • By using our return portal: https://ducksday.shipping-portal.com/rp/. This will cost you 5€ when returning from Belgium and €6 when returning from another country and the return fee will be deducted from your refund. Please note that this option is not available for all countries.  
  • By choosing your own postal service. Hand over the package to your local postal office and send it to Ducksday BV, Vijfstraten 15/A, 3140 Keerbergen, Belgium. You pay for the shipping fee when you return it. Your order will be completely refunded. Please make sure you ask for a ticket in case the return gets lost.  
  • On request, we can also make return labels for you of another postal service (DPD, Bpost,…), please contact us if you need this and we will let you know the cost: service@ducksday.com  
What if I have a claim about my order?  

Oops!We are sorry if you have purchased a faulty item on our website.Please contact our customer service: service@ducksday.com, mention your order number, attach the photos of the product and the defect. We will do our best to handle this as soon as possible.If you purchased a faulty item at one of our retailers, please contact the place of purchase (along with the receipt). 

Can I exchange an item I have ordered? 

Depending on our stock level, we can exchange your item with another size or colour. Please mention this when you want to return the item or send us an e-mail: service@ducksday.com. Nevertheless, it will be faster if you order the other size or colour immediately online as we can only send your exchange when we have received the returned item. 

Maintenance & Care

How do I wash my Ducksday outerwear?  

You can find the washing instructions on the label inside every item and on the product page on our website. For the waterproof outer layers: wash your item separately inside out and close all zippers and fastening tapes. Wash it max. at 30°C and do not use fabric softener. Let it dry in the fresh air and do not iron. It is not necessary to wash your outdoor wear frequently. Just wipe off the dirt with a wet cloth and you are ready to go! After 3-4 times washing, we recommend to reimpregnate your ducksday gear again with our Organotex Wash-In Textile Waterproofing to extend the lifetime of your favourite item. 

How do I wash my Ducksday Summer wear?  

You can find the washing instructions on the label inside every item and on the product page on our website. For the UV-protective Summer wear we recommend to Rinse in cold water immediately after use, gently squeeze and dry flat. If you want to put it in the laundry machine: use a hand wash/gentle program at max. 30°. Do not put it in the tumble dryer, but dry flat and do not iron.

What if there is a tear in my Ducksday item? 

Our ducksday outerwear can handle some serious outdoor fun, but of course an accident can always happen. We don’t have our own repair patches yet, but you can find repair tape or patches that are reflective and/or waterproof in most outdoor shops!

What if my zipper is broken? 

If your ducksday item is no older than 2 years and purchased via our website: please contact our service team to help you out (service@ducksday.com) . In case you have purchased the item at one of our retailers, please contact them directly. If the item is over 2 years old, we suggest to look for a local sewing atelier to get it fixed.

Which size should I choose?  

You can find size chart on every product page with the dimensions of the clothing. You can compare these sizes with an old jacket/suit that you have at home. We suggest to check inner legs for our suits and pants and to check arm length for our jackets. In general, our items have a large fit as outdoor wear should be comfortable to play outside and you should be able to put a mid-layer underneath our outer layers. Is my Ducksday item tested on PFAS and harmful substances?  

Yes! We are proud to carry the Standard 100 By-Oeko-tex Label for our products. This means that every tiny piece in the making of our clothing (fabrics, zippers, buttons, …) is tested on harmful substances. Our products even passed the strictest test and are therefore certified in Class 1 and this is quite unique for an outdoor brand. The label also means that our items are PFAS-free! Is my Ducksday snowsuit and jacket warm enough?  

At ducksday, we don’t like children to be stuck in a puffy jacket or snowsuit. A thick padding may look warmer, but that is certainly not the case! Our winter items are equipped with a lightweight, yet very warm padding that keeps you warm in cold conditions up to -25°C. In freezing temperatures, we suggest to wear 3 layers: a breathable and quickdry base layer, a (fleece) mid-layer and a jacket or snowsuit as protective outer layer. The outer layer should be sufficiently loose, as the warmth of the entire outfit is based on air trapped between the layers. That’s why you can even go skiing with our rainsuit: put on our base layer, our fleece onesie as mid-layer and our rainsuit as protective outer layer!

How waterproof is my Ducksday?  

The limit for declaring rain-proof clothing to be waterproof is a water column of 1,300 mm, and experts say that 4,000 mm should be enough for sitting in puddles.At Ducksday, we apply a water column of 10.000mm (!) for our outerwear (rainwear and winter wear). On top, these outer layers also have taped seams so that water cannot get in at the seams. So you can definitely play in the rain and the snow for a long time without getting wet! Our rainsuits, rain jackets, women’s raincoats and winter jackets also have waterproof zippers. The items without a waterproof zipper are equipped with a storm flap above or a protective flap underneath the zipper. 

What does "breathability" mean? 

When your skin is moist, it cools down up to 20 times faster than dry skin, which is why kids can quickly feel cold after being active in the cold. That's why the best waterproof materials are also breathable: sweat can escape through the small pores in the fabric, rather than remaining on the skin. Material breathability is expressed as g/m2/24 hours, which tells you how much water can evaporate through one square meter of fabric in one day. All of our waterproof outer fabrics have breathability of 5000g/m2/24 hours so your kids won’t feel cold or sweaty in our gear. 

What does “UPF50+” mean? 

Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) ratings are used to measure the amount of sun protection a fabric provides. UPF50+ means that over 98% of the harmful UVA and UVB rays of the sun are blocked, also in wet conditions. All of our Ducksday swimwear has UPF 50+ protection and keeps your kids safe from the sun while they are having fun. That means your kids only need sunscreen for body parts that are exposed to the sun, as the fabric protects their sensitive skin.

How do I use a Gift card or Discount code?  

If you have a Gift Card or Discount code for our online webshop, you can enter this at the check-out of your order in the “discount code or giftcard” field and press “Apply”. The discount will be automatically deducted from the total amount of your order.

The payment of my order does not go through?
